Honeyfresh’s Granola Goodness

Oh sugar—

so bittersweet is our relationship. There are months I hardly see you, and days I see you far too often. You’re kind of like refined crack, I find myself spiraling as soon as I touch you. So, it’s time to wean off you…again.

The following is far from sugar-free, but is a great gateway towards clearing out refined sugar. Fruit, as with anything is best in moderation—but it has great things going for it like fiber, to slow blood sugar spikes.

It comes down to this: when faced in a battle between ice cream or this amazing treat…here we have the winner.

Without further ado:

Honeyfresh’s Granola Goodness

(115% inspired by my love Laura.)

You’ll Need:

  • Unsweetened Almond Milk (Bonus pts if you make your own)
  • Frozen Organic Blueberries
  • Almond Butter (Look for no hydrogenated oils and no added sugar: simple is beautiful)
  • 1/2 Sliced Banana
  • Granola of Choice (Pictured is amazing, low (2g) sugar—next time i’ll opt for sugar free)
  • Bowl, Spoon & Appetite

Step 1

Add a lil’ milk to your bowl—or maybe you prefer a lot of milk—I’m not here to judge.


Step 2

Add a hearty scoop of granola to your milk.


Step 3

Add handful of blueberries & your sliced banana on top.

Top with a big ol’ spoonful of almond butter.

Step 5

Mix this goodness up, and wait for the milk to turn purple—because it’s sweet looking—and it allows the blueberries time to thaw a bit.
